Travelling by public transport

We recommend downloading the SBB mobile app and using EasyRide. Check in with a swipe before your journey and then check out again with a swipe afterwards. EasyRide calculates the best price for you at the end of the day, charges it to your credit card and sends you a receipt by email.

Travel to the ETH Zentrum campus by public transport:

• from Zurich Airport by rail

  • Take a direct train to Zurich HB (Main Station) Journey time: approx. 10–15 minutes.

  • From Zurich HB, take Tram 6 (towards Zoo) or Tram 10 (towards Zürich Flughafen) to the stop “ETH/Universitätsspital”. Journey time: approx. 6-7 minutes.

  • From there, it's a 3-minute walk uphill from the tram stop.

  • Total travel time: approx. 30 minutes.

• from Zurich Central Station (Zurich HB) by rail

  • Take Tram 6 (towards Zoo) or Tram 10 (towards Zürich Flughafen) from Bahnhofstrasse/HB or Bahnhofquai/HB. Journey time: approx. 6-7 minutes.

  • Get off at “ETH/Universitätsspital”.

  • From there, it's a 3-minute walk uphill from the tram stop.

  • Total travel time: approx. 10–15 minutes.
